Hi searcher,

First off, excellent question. The "M", used in many stats, stands for 1,000 impressions (ie. 1000 "views" of a page, independent of ad clicks). eCPM stands for "Estimated Cost per Thousand Impressions). Adsense does use this figure, but they name it RPM (Revenue per Thousand Impressions). It's the same thing, so go ahead and plug that number into your calculator.

I'm thinking about signing up for TrafficSpaces.com - this new self-ad delivery system. I'm using their calculator to see if it will be worthwhile/ ie. save me money over my current Adsense model.

They ask for eCPM. What is that? I don't see that in my Adsense reports.

Yes, both companies allow third party ads, provided, as you mentioned, that they don't interfere and can't be confused with each other.

We've got some extra space on our pages to add ads, in addition to the Adsense ads we already have. I know that Adsense now allows third party ads, provided they don't look the same as the Adsense ads (ie. could be confused with them).

My question is - am I allowed to add Adbrite ads on a page that already has ads? Ie. does Adbrite allow this?

I know this is an old post, but I received a similar email at about the same time. It is genuine, in that they are after a link and paid up promptly.

Has anyone heard of BetterLinkAdvertising.com? I just got the following email from them:

Hello,

I'm interested in placing a promotional link on your page: [I removed the link for privacy purposes]

The link would be for a website which offers about data security software.

I don't have the biggest budget, but hopefully there is a reasonable price we could arrange.

Please let me know if you're interested, and if not thanks for your time.

Thanks!
