The TOS from this company seems really onerous. Anyone who is that focused on total secrecy kind of encourages suspicion. However, I think I'm going to do it, I can always take the ad down.

Ok...I, like the rest of you, received an email from moredigital.com wanting to pay me $125 USD to place a text link on my site ( www.thedeerhunters.com ) too. Now, my domain has been up since 2005, and still only has a google pr of 2, but I have over 50 pages in the site and do get some traffic. After emailing back and forth several times with questions, I have to say that their responses were quick and they answere any and all questions without any B.S. They say I will be paid within 48 hours through paypal..and i will be sure to post an update within the next 72-96 hours to let you all know how it's working out.

I too got the same post not form one but two members with two different domains.I think they are PLAYING for backlinks -most probebly with PR2 AND PR3 sites, I think.

The way Gogle pays out you will have to wait a couple of years to get $100 from them. Go for the sell; I would ask for more money and see what happens. A year is a long time and you could be getting a lot more hits in that period.

I was also contacted by them, and i'm still considering the offer. It's been established here that they pay, so that's no problem, but to those that have been payed and are hosting their links, have you checked and seen any changes for your sites with google rank. I wish I could not care about it, but I do, I've been working hard to get my site popular, so I can't risk our rank.
The link they sent me goes to a poker online page, which looks legitimate, it' not banned on google, by my site has nothing to do with games online. I directly asked if they were going to suck google rank from us, they said no. Because they also chose to place the link on a very old post of ours, which is strange, because i think nobody is checking that post. So, why do they want to set the link on a page that's not visited. So I'd like to understand better what to do. Its true that 120 usd is not to become millionaire, but I want to make money with my site, so I don't want to reject money without strong reasons.

Can anyone say what the ad text is that appears on your website if you sign up to this?

I was contacted by them too, was dubious at first but went with it. Placed a text link of one of my pages, was paid $100 within 24 hours, no problem.
$100 for less than 15 mins work is pretty good in my book

$80-120 for 1 year of advertising? That is a scam, why would you people accept this?

I too got the same e-mail and the company gets advertising for almost nothing (80-120 $) so I prefer not to answer them at all. Not that I wouldn't have use of the money, I just don't like to be taking advantage of.

They sent me an email too, but when I accepted their offer, I didn't get any response back. No one even bothered to email me whether they're not interested or what not. Disappointing really.

I got an email from moredigital offering $120 for a link on an inside page of my site, they say that homepage links are too expensive so prefer inside ones (my homepage has a ranking of 5). I told them I would write out the ad and place link myself rather than copy and paste their ad, as I have done with a car rental website i have on my site. Now they are asking if I am the owner of the car rental company (in fact the rental co. are friends of mine and we have exchanged links for years now). the emails are signed Jack Renwick. I find this a bit strange and wonder if it is worth such a small amount.

Please, reply to there first e-mail. Just let them have some work. Even if you don't trust it. This way, if there criminals, they will quit because of the non-payed work.

I got the same e-mail and after reading this I don't think I'm going to e-mail them back. It's kinda weird.

Interesting and helpful posts. I too received the mail from More Digital (we are in Norway) and am now mulling whether or not to say yes. They're only offering me USD 80. Think I'll refer to the USD 100 pay outs. Thanks!

They appear to be legit, but if by "Deliver you (advertisers) straight to your target audience", it means having loads of ads with little connection to my posts, then I'm not interested.

They paid me within the 48 hours. Regardless, the advert stays for 1 year from when I put it on my site, not from when they pay me. So they didn't get anything for free.

I also received this letter and I thin they are criminal. Thay sent same email to different companies, the people post their info for 48 hours and more. So this Media Digital receive 48 hours free advertising from each of you. Then think how many of us received this mail? Not bad, huh?

I'm the one from 3 posts up. They DID pay me, we ended up using google checkout since they had paypal issues. this is a legitimate offer, stick it to google and make $100.00

Good Lordy people. What is the problem? If you don't like the deal you take the ad down. You have ultimate control.

Um .... many many sites sell advertising space on their sites. Kind of like commercials on television. Where is the fear and confusion coming from?

I apologise for the delay in payment. We are normally able to transfer funds to you via PayPal within 24-48 hours. We have grown rather quickly, are making more payments to webmasters like you, and PayPal now requires us to complete more security measures. Unfortunately we didn't have any warning this would occur. In the long term, this will mean more secure payments and enable better transfers, however right now it means a short delay. We are hoping this will be resolved within 72 hours and are doing everything in our power to work with PayPal to fulfil their requirements.

Hopefully they come through and pay, and my opinion on against google TOS for accepting a paid link is complete ****. It is google's responsibility to ensure quality search results (not ours). If they cannot do so properly without their dumb broken "pagerank" then they need to move over as #1 search engine and let someone do it that can do it properly without telling everyone in the world that they aren't allowed to profit off of their own website.

Google doesn't own the internet and anyone afraid of accepting a paid link needs to grow some balls and tell google to screw off.

Now whether these people actually pay up is a different issue, I'll let you all know if they ever stop having paypal problems and pay me.
